Low Carb Keto Bread Sliced Loaf - 400g - 2.3g per Slice reviews
I am a diabetic. I love this bread. But a little bit pricey as usual. You won't.
Lovely bread great toasted . Good texture taste good . Great low carb bread I tasted
A long life product designed for those on a low carb diet, this loaf is not inexpensive, but offers reasonable value, because it actually tastes very good, like a proper nutty seeded wholemeal. This is quite an improvement over the normal cardboard offerings. The bread is moist, and toasts particularly well. I would challenge anyone to spot that this is not just an ordinary bread, such is the taste and texture. One particularly good point is the fact it feels substantial and filling - not just full of air to minimise calories. The fact this can be achieved says something about the considerable thought that must have gone into designing this recipe to fulfil the brief. In conclusion it’s probably the best low carb bread I’ve had, in terms of taste, texture, density and appearance. The price must be a consideration and a personal choice, but as a product in itself, this is pretty faultless.
Keto bread is expensive, so you want it to taste good. This one is a bit... sawdusty. I've tasted better varieties. It's okay toasted, and not bad for sandwiches, but... it's a bit non-descript. I find I can't always eat a whole loaf before it goes off (they don't last long in the bread-bin before the tell-tale blue mould appears), so I separate mine into three portions and put two in the freezer. That way, it keeps longer.
I really like this bread it’s the closest I’ve found to real bread. It is expensive buying it from Amazon but cheaper if bought direct from the manufacturer
This Groovy Keto loaf is one of the best low‑carb breads I’ve tried. The texture is soft but sturdy, with a proper multigrain feel and a nice seeded bite. It toasts beautifully, holds toppings well, and doesn’t crumble like many keto alternatives. At just 2.3g carbs per slice and 7.6g protein, it fits perfectly into a low‑carb or diabetic‑friendly diet without feeling like a compromise. The slices are a good size, and the 16‑slice loaf lasts well through the week. The flavour is pleasantly nutty and savoury — great for sandwiches, toast, or even grilled cheese. At 67 kcal per slice, it’s surprisingly light too.Overall, this is a delicious, satisfying keto bread that actually tastes like proper bread. Excellent quality and great value. Highly recommended.
Despite being strict keto for 3 years now, I've never actually tried a keto loaf before. I've wanted to, but heard enough negative reviews to not want to spend a fair bit on something I wasn't going to like, so I was really pleased to get the chance to try this one out. I no longer obsessively attempt to replicate most common starches, but sometimes it's really difficult to manage without bread (sandwiches and runny eggs, for example). The loaf isn't huge, and the slices quite small, but this is how they can make a slice or two fit into a strict carb allowance (usually 20g per day), so a couple of slices will amount to 25% of my carb limit, which is certainly a carb load that can reasonably factored into a daily menu. The bread itself is delicious - it tastes like the fancy dark malted loaves I used to love. It's good quality. It's soft enough to use cold/untoasted for sandwiches, it toasts well and even makes an acceptable French Toast (not quite as absorbent as a regular bread, and it's worth leaving in the egg for a while, but still worked well and was really tasty). At £5.99, there's no getting away from the fact that this is really expensive bread, and I do hope that, as low carb becomes more mainstream, manufacturers can look at reducing costs further in the future. At over 37p per slice, I wouldn't be buying it to eat daily, and I have divided and frozen some to save for French Toast/boiled egg days - and if there's only one or two keto people in the house, freezing some will be the only way to avoid it going to waste, as 2 slices per day are probably the limit for a most people's keto carb allowance, and Groovy Keto suggest consuming within 3 days of opening.I really love this bread, and I will continue buying it, but will reserve it for special days, occasional packed lunches and for taking on holiday.
Having had to go low carb due to some health issues and being a big bread lover - give me a nice piece of bread than cake, biscuits or pie any day I have bought every low carb bread I could find over the years and until tasting this one only had one that I like but is much more expensive for same size and also same carbs per slice. The difference between them is not just price but that this one actually does taste like real wholemeal bread. The seeds can be tasted and add their own extra flavour to each slice.Fibre is 2.2g per slice. Remember it is not Gluten Free bread just Low Carb Bread. This one is the first bread that tastes truly like real bread, like a nice tasty wholemeal loaf. Slices might be small, not tiny, but cut to nice medium thickness, so no going into holes as you butter it as some do to cut down on carbs. Not so small that you cannot make a decent sandwich . Slices are 8cms high and 9cm wide ans 1.3cm deep. Consistency is fairly good with some small holes but not so many that your slice is mainly air.Like a standard wholemeal slice less fills you that if it was white bread. It is the perfect low carb sandwich bread and also accomplishment for any meal as I often used to use bread instead of potatoes but that stopped when my bread changed but this one tastes so like wholemeal bread it is perfect to use in their place.Like all low carb breads it is not cheap ( £5.99 for a 400g 16 slice loaf at time of writing the review) compared to a 400g normal loaf but to me is worth every penny for texture, taste and firmness.
It dried out quite quickly.
I picked up this low‑carb seeded loaf recently because I’ve been trying to cut back on carbs without giving up the simple joy of toast in the morning. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much as most “diet” breads I’ve tried have been either weirdly sweet or dry enough to use as packing material but this one surprised me in a good way.The texture is the first thing I noticed. It’s denser than standard supermarket bread, but not in a bad way. It actually feels like proper multigrain bread, with a nice seeded bite and a decent chew. Toasts really well too, which is a big win for me. At just 2.3g carbs per slice and a decent hit of protein, it fits perfectly into a low‑carb or diabetic‑friendly diet without feeling like a compromise.Flavour‑wise, it’s mild and slightly nutty. Nothing strange or artificial, which I appreciated. I’ve used it for sandwiches, toast, and even a cheeky cheese on toast, and it held up every time. Durability is good as well – it doesn’t fall apart or crumble like some alternative breads do. It has a really long shelf life as well of a couple of months so you can also keep it in the cupboard. There are a couple of downsides, though. The loaf is on the smaller side, and the slices are a bit thinner than regular bread. Also, at around seven quid a loaf, it’s definitely pricier than standard bread. Whether it’s “value for money” depends on how much you care about keeping carbs low. For me, it’s worth it, but I can see the price being a sticking point for some.Overall, I’d say it’s a solid option if you’re doing keto, low‑carb, or just trying to avoid blood sugar spikes. It tastes good, it’s easy to use, and it doesn’t feel like a compromise. If you’re not specifically watching carbs, you might find the cost hard to justify – but if you are, I’d definitely recommend giving it a go.
